The S Series 240A Racing Alt is a high-performance alternator designed to replace the standard CS130 alternators found in various Chevy and GMC vehicles. With its compact design and durability, this alternator offers incredible low RPM output and uses less horsepower than conventional 3 phase alternators.Featuring 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates, and excellent airflow, the S Series 240A Racing Alt is built to withstand even the most severe conditions. Its custom-designed housing directly replaces the standard CS130 "left mount" alternators used in 1987-1995 Chevy C1500 Pickups and some aftermarket accessory drives.
Installation is made easy with a single wire on the provided pigtail, which connects to any ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with the ignition switch. All you need to do is run a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the battery terminals, and the alternator will work perfectly, regardless of your wiring harness.
Thanks to its compact size and standard GM mounting ears, the S Series 240A Racing Alt is also suitable for many aftermarket or custom bracket installations. It is compatible with a range of vehicles, including Buick Roadmaster, Chevrolet Astro Van, Camaro, Full Size Truck, S-10/S-10 Blazer, Suburban, Tahoe/Full Size Blazer, GMC Full Size Truck, Safari, Suburban, Yukon, Oldsmobile Bravada, and Pontiac Firebird.
