It is highly efficient, using less horsepower compared to conventional 3 phase alternators. With 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates, and outstanding airflow, this alternator ensures exceptional durability even in severe conditions.
This alternator is specifically designed to replace standard CS130 "left mount" alternators used on 1987-1995 Chevy C1500 Pickups and some aftermarket accessory drives. It features a custom-designed housing, a side output stud, and a seamless rear cover with a side output plug that provides better clearance and a sleek appearance. Installation is made easy with the provided pigtail that requires connecting a single wire to an ignition switched 12V+ source for the alternator to turn on and off with the ignition switch. The alternator can be connected to the battery terminals with a properly sized positive and ground cable, accommodating various wiring harnesses.
Thanks to its compact size and standard GM mounting ears, this alternator is also suitable for many aftermarket or custom bracket installations.
